Commander-in-Chief of General Soedirman

General of the Army Soedirman was a high-ranking Indonesian military officer during the Indonesian National Revolution. He was the first commander of Indonesian Army. While in high school, Soedirman began to demonstrate his ability to lead and organize, and was respected by the community because of his adherence to Moslem.

He was a very active person in several organizations like Muhammadiyah and others. In 1944 he joined the Japanese-sponsored Defense Army, serving as battalion commander in Banyumas. During his tenure, Soedirman and his fellow soldiers rebelled, but were later exiled to Bogor.

Soedirman general leadership had a positive impact on military life, since the beginning of his career. He has never had difficulty in his duties, because it has been equipped with the principles of loyalty. Among other loyalty to the message of Allah SWT.

What is obtained from diligence in carrying out the command and away from his prohibition, is faithful to the mandate of the soul of Indonesian independence, the mandate of the people's suffering, which is caused by the oppression of foreigners. It becomes a high characteristic of morality or morals that we deserve to emulate.

Likewise the value of loyalty and firm stance from the Great General. He chose to remain in the middle of his army rather than in the presidency. Sudirman's stout and resilient Commander-in-Chief attitude was the value of the tenacity that we should imitate. In dealing with various situations, he didn't know surrender, never gave up hope, endured suffering, persevered in fighting for something. There are many more attitudes from the Soedirman general that can be an example for us.
